Add us as <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/preferences\/source?q=tennis365.com\" target=\"_blank\">a preferred source on Google to your favourites list<\/a> for tennis coverage you can trust.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In his column for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lequipe.fr\/Tennis\/Article\/L-oeil-de-mats-wilander-sur-les-chances-de-novak-djokovic-a-l-open-d-australie-il-peut-compter-sur-cette-sorte-de-folie-positive\/1636399\" target=\"_blank\">L\u2019Equipe<\/a>, former world No 1 Wilander expressed his surprise at Djokovic\u2019s admissions about Alcaraz and Sinner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course, Novak Djokovic is a bit slower than before, but he still plays incredibly well,\u201d said the seven-time Grand Slam winner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe serves just as effectively, his forehand is extremely powerful, and frankly, I can\u2019t imagine him losing before the semi-finals, because it doesn\u2019t matter who his opponent is, as long as their name isn\u2019t Sinner or Alcaraz.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNovak has a lot of confidence against all his potential opponents, except for those two.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m surprised he keeps saying so often that they\u2019re the best in the world and that they\u2019re so much better than him. Whether it\u2019s true or not, even if it\u2019s kind of him, he shouldn\u2019t say it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s probably trying to take the pressure off himself and make people forget that he\u2019s still a contender for the biggest things.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s a strategy, though; it\u2019s just his philosophy.
