{"id":1791,"date":"2026-02-26T15:15:27","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T15:15:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tennisring.com\/?p=1791"},"modified":"2026-02-26T15:15:27","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T15:15:27","slug":"emma-raducanus-record-with-mark-petchey-as-coach-revealed-as-pair-reunite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tennisring.com\/?p=1791","title":{"rendered":"Emma Raducanu\u2019s record with Mark Petchey as coach revealed as pair reunite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Emma Raducanu has reunited with Mark Petchey ahead of the 2026 Indian Wells Open, but what was the US Open winner\u2019s record during her previous collaboration with the British coach?<\/p>\n<p>The world No 25 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-news\/emma-raducanu-reunites-former-coach-mark-petchey-indian-wells\">will work with Petchey on an \u201cinformal basis\u201d during the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells<\/a>, which will run from 4 to 15 March.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/emma-raducanu\">Raducanu<\/a> has been coached by Alexis Canter, an LTA coach and hitting partner, at tournaments this month after she parted ways with Spanish coach Francisco Roig following the Australian Open.<\/p>\n<p>Petchey, a former British 1 who coached Andy Murray in 2005-2006, was part of Raducanu\u2019s team between March and August last year, while he also helped her in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Here, we look at how Raducanu performed at tournaments during her partnership with Petchey in 2025.<\/p>\n<h2>Raducanu\u2019s record with Petchey as coach in 2025<\/h2>\n<p>Raducanu started working with Petchey in March 2025, and she played 10 tournaments before they ended their collaboration when the Brit hired Roig at the start of August.<\/p>\n<p>The former world No 10\u2019s standout result during her partnership with Petchey \u2014 and arguably her best run since winning the 2021 US Open \u2014 came at the Miami Open, which was their first tournament together.<\/p>\n<p>Having lost six of her first nine matches in 2025 prior to hiring Petchey, Raducanu won four straight matches to reach the quarter-finals in Miami \u2014 her only WTA 1000 quarter-final result.<\/p>\n<p>She upset eighth-ranked Emma Navarro in the second round and Amanda Anisimova, who was ranked 17th at the time, in the last 16.<\/p>\n<p>Raducanu\u2019s best clay-court result last year was reaching the fourth round at the Italian Open.<\/p>\n<p>On grass, she made the quarter-finals at the Queen\u2019s Club Championships and the third round at Wimbledon \u2014 where she pushed world No 1 Aryna Sabalenka in a pulsating encounter.<\/p>\n<h2>WTA Tour News<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-news\/emma-raducanu-sponsorship-deal-greg-rusedski\"><strong>Emma Raducanu\u2019s mega new sponsorship deal \u2018makes a lot of sense\u2019, according to former British No 1<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-news\/emma-raducanus-full-circle-moment-mother-renee-zha-new-uniqlo-role\"><strong>Emma Raducanu reveals full-circle moment involving her mother as she takes on new Uniqlo role<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Want more from Tennis365?
