{"id":1817,"date":"2026-03-02T15:30:50","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T15:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tennisring.com\/?p=1817"},"modified":"2026-03-02T15:30:50","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T15:30:50","slug":"indian-wells-open-withdrawal-list-15-players-out-as-medvedev-rublev-khachanov-could-follow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tennisring.com\/?p=1817","title":{"rendered":"Indian Wells Open withdrawal list: 15 players out as Medvedev, Rublev, Khachanov could follow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Main draw action at the 2026 Indian Wells Open will get underway on Wednesday 4 March, and 15 players have already withdrawn across both singles events.<\/p>\n<p>Indian Wells is the first ATP 1000 event of the season and the third WTA 1000 after tournaments in Doha and Dubai in February.<\/p>\n<p>The combined ATP\/WTA tournament, which is staged at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in the Californian desert, is one of the most prestigious events in the sport outside of the four Grand Slams.<\/p>\n<p>Indian Wells is the first leg of the \u2018Sunshine Double\u2019 in the United States, with the Miami Open \u2014 held later in March \u2014 the second leg.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s tournament will conclude on 15 March with the women\u2019s and men\u2019s singles finals.<\/p>\n<h2>WTA Indian Wells withdrawal list<\/h2>\n<p>Six players have pulled out of the women\u2019s singles event in Indian Wells \u2014 all of whom would have been unseeded.<\/p>\n<p>Lois Boisson is the highest-ranked woman to withdraw, while two-time major singles champion Barbora Krejcikova is the most decorated.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lois Boisson<\/strong> (world No 37) \u2013 replaced by Oksana Selekhmeteva<\/li>\n<li><strong>Elisabetta Cocciaretto<\/strong> (world No 42) \u2013 replaced by Camila Osorio<\/li>\n<li><strong>Barbora Krejcikova<\/strong> (world No 53) \u2013 replaced by Zhang Shuai<\/li>\n<li><strong>Veronika Kudermetova<\/strong> (world No 56) \u2013 replaced by Zeynep Sonmez<\/li>\n<li><strong>Daria Kasatkina<\/strong> (world No 60) \u2013 replaced by Rebecca Sramkova<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wang Yafan<\/strong> (world No 355 \u2013 entered with protected ranking) \u2013 replaced by Ella Seidel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Tennis News<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-news\/indian-wells-2026-aryna-sabalenka-elena-rybakina-prediction-martina-navratilova\"><strong>Sabalenka, Rybakina, Swiatek, Gauff?
