Coco Gauff has candidly admitted she struggles with \u201cimpostor syndrome\u201d and doubts whether she \u201cbelongs\u201d where she is at the top of the WTA Tour.<\/p>\n
The world No 4 was speaking after beating 12th-ranked Belinda Bencic 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Miami Open on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

I think sometimes I can get impostor syndrome, and even when they\u2019re saying my accomplishments during the warm-up, it doesn\u2019t feel like me, and I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, I actually do have a good career\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cBut it doesn\u2019t feel like that sometimes in the moment, because you\u2019re just working on things. Especially with my serve, it just feels like, I don\u2019t know, I shouldn\u2019t be where I am.<\/p>\n \u201cBut tennis doesn\u2019t lie, the ball doesn\u2019t lie, so I just have to believe myself, and my coach has been reminding me: \u2018Remember who you are, and you\u2019re a good player.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cI think they\u2019ve been putting that into my head. At moments I believe in it, at moments I don\u2019t.
