Add us as<span>\u00a0<\/span><a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/preferences\/source?q=tennis365.com\" target=\"_blank\">a preferred source on Google to your favourites list<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>for tennis coverage you can trust.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Players who put their names to the joint statement<\/h2>\n<p>Women: Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek, Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys, Jasmine Paolini, Emma Navarro, Zheng Qinwen, Paula Badosa and Mirra Andreeva.<\/p>\n<p>Men: Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, Alex De Minaur, Casper Ruud, Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev and Stefanos Tsitsipas.<\/p>\n<p>In April 2025, the same group of players <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/french-open\/tennis-rocked-fresh-row-novak-djokovic-jannik-sinner-carlos-alcaraz-aryna-sabalenka-swiatek-more-money\">co-signed and sent a letter to the four majors to demand a substantial increase in prize money at the events.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>What Sabalenka said about a potential Grand Slam boycott<\/h2>\n<p>During her pre-tournament press conference at the 2026 Italian Open, Sabalenka made some strong comments as she addressed whether players could boycott the Slams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think at some point we will boycott it (Grand Slams), yeah,\u201d Sabalenka asserted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like that\u2019s going to be the only way to fight for our rights.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s see how far we can get\u2026 if it\u2019s going to take players for boycott.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like nowadays, we girls can easily get together and go for this because some of the things, I feel like, it\u2019s really unfair to the players. I think at some point it\u2019s going to get to this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The four-time Grand Slam champion went on to argue that players should receive a greater percentage of the revenue generated by the majors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDefinitely when you see the number and you see the amount the players [are] receiving\u2026 I feel like the show is on us,\u201d said the 28-year-old Belarusian.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like without us, there wouldn\u2019t be a tournament and there wouldn\u2019t be that entertainment. I feel like definitely we deserve to be paid more percentage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat can I say?
