There\u2019s no doubt,\u201d Roddick said on his <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JB2HorHmW3U\">Served<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I mean, she\u2019s sneaky \u2014 we\u2019re talking four spots away from being seeded in the top 16. That\u2019s the next goal for her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan we put up a couple of results in Canada and Cincinnati and sneak inside that top 16 where a fourth round is expected and not a surprise to anyone. Massive, massive props to her, she\u2019s so much fun.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEveryone in tennis should be cheering for her, right? And you [could] say, like, \u2018don\u2019t pick favourites, don\u2019t cheer for her\u2019, sure\u2026 I\u2019m cheering for markets,\u201d said the American.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we could bring hundreds of millions of people because she\u2019s playing, well, then I\u2019m going to cheer for that because it\u2019s better for tennis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know some people might bristle and be like, \u2018listen, she hasn\u2019t won a Slam. What are we doing?\u2019 No, but she\u2019s literally carrying hundreds of millions of fans to our sport and saying, you\u2019re die-hards now. This is great for the sport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt doesn\u2019t mean you like her more than\u2026 I love Jessica Pegula. All I\u2019m saying is that I want to see Eala consistently do well because of what an impact she will have on the game if she does that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot all impacts are the same with players. Eala winning a Slam is more than someone else winning a Slam. That\u2019s just the way it works. We\u2019re lucky in tennis to have her. We should continue to support the story.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd listen, none of this s*** happens and no one cares if she\u2019s not winning stuff.
