The world No 20 was beaten 6-4, 6-0 by world No 14 Bencic in the last 16 at the WTA 1000 tournament in Toronto on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
Eala<\/a> was broken in six of her eight service games in the match, and she won just eight points in a second set dominated by her 29-year-old Swiss opponent.<\/p>\n The 21-year-old\u2019s loss ended an impressive seven-match winning streak that featured two victories in Canada and five wins in Washington DC \u2014 where she claimed her maiden WTA Tour<\/a> title.<\/p>\n In her press conference after losing to Bencic, Eala was asked how she was feeling physically and mentally.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, it\u2019s always tough, of course, after a loss. But like I said, I\u2019m looking back at these past two weeks as a really big positive. I think I\u2019ve played really well, I\u2019ve gotten through so many obstacles,\u201d said Eala.<\/p>\n \u201cOf course, right now there\u2019s that initial just kind of a little tired and down from the match. But, yeah, I think, I mean, I\u2019m healthy, which is something I\u2019m super grateful for. It\u2019s something that\u2019s obviously on the top of my priority all the time.
