Alex Eala\u2019s participation in the Asian Games has been thrown into doubt as the WTA appears to have adopted a strict policy in terms of exemptions for players to compete.<\/p>\n
The Philippine Tennis Association (Philta) announced in August that Eala \u201cchose to play for the flag\u201d as she will represent her country at the upcoming tournament in Nagoya, Japan with the organisation\u2019s Secretary General John Rey Tiangco stating<\/a>: \u201cWe\u2019re very excited; it\u2019s confirmed that she is playing the Asian Games.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re very grateful to Alex. She really has a tight schedule.
