Stefanos Tsitsipas, Greece \u2013 2,270<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\">Jannik Sinner<\/a> has maintained his firm grip on the world No 1 ranking with his dominant progress to the last 16.<\/p>\n<p>The Italian, who is defending semi-final points from last year, has stretched his lead over second-ranked Carlos Alcaraz in the Live ATP Rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz \u2014 defending the maximum 2,000 points as the reigning Roland Garros champion \u2014 remains on course for another deep run in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>If Alexander Zverev were to secure his maiden major, he could take the world No 2 position from Alcaraz \u2014 if the Spaniard failed to reach the final.<\/p>\n<p>Jack Draper is up one place to a projected new career-high ranking of world No 4 after reaching the fourth round of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/category\/french-open\">French Open<\/a> for the first time.\u00a0The Brit will leapfrog Taylor Fritz, who fell in the opening round.<\/p>\n<p>Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti remain sixth and seventh respectively, but both have a chance to finish the tournament ranked as high as fourth with very deep runs \u2014 depending on Draper\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n<p>Holger Rune and Tommy Paul are up to eighth and ninth respectively and they are in contention to move further up the rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Reaching the second round has been enough to lift Jakub Mensik to a projected new career-high position of 17th, while Ugo Humbert has re-entered the top 20.<\/p>\n<h2>French Open News<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-features\/jannik-sinner-biggest-strength-ball-striking-carlos-alcaraz\"><strong>Jannik Sinner is already the \u2018best player of all-time\u2019 in one key area<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/french-open\/alexander-zverev-carlos-alcaraz-prediction-message-french-open-rivals\"><strong>Carlos Alcaraz French Open prediction made as Alexander Zverev gives seven rivals blunt verdict<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Grigor Dimitrov has fallen from 19th to 17th as he is set to lose 390 points after his opening round retirement, having been a quarter-finalist last year.<\/p>\n<h4>Live ATP Top 20 after Week 1 of French Open<\/h4>\n<p>1. Ugo Humbert, France\u00a0\u2013 2,195 (+1)<\/p>\n<h4>Big Winners<\/h4>\n<p>Alexander Bublik (+13 from 62nd to 49th), Daniel Altmaier (+15 from 66th to 51st) and Cameron Norrie (+21 from 81st to 60th) are all set to be rewarded with significant jumps for reaching the fourth round.<\/p>\n<p>Matteo Gigante (+38 from 167th to 129th) and Henrique Rocha (+52 from 200th to 148th) will make huge leaps to new career-high rankings after they each made the third round after qualifying.<\/p>\n<h4>Big Losers<\/h4>\n<p>Casper Ruud has suffered a seven-place slide from eighth to 15th in the Live Rankings after his second round exit as he has dropped 750 points having been a semi-finalist in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Stefanos Tsitsipas\u2019 shock second round loss has resulted in him falling from 20th to 26th as he will drop 350 points.
