{"id":557,"date":"2025-06-04T14:34:45","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T14:34:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tennisring.com\/?p=557"},"modified":"2025-06-04T14:34:45","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T14:34:45","slug":"lois-boisson-296-in-wta-rankings-with-extraordinary-mirra-andreeva-french-open-upset","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tennisring.com\/?p=557","title":{"rendered":"Lois Boisson +296 in WTA Rankings with extraordinary Mirra Andreeva French Open upset"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>French sensation Lois Boisson delivered a stunning display to upset Mirra Andreeva in the quarter-finals of the 2025 French Open.<\/p>\n<p>The 22-year-old wildcard prevailed 7-6(6), 6-3 against world No 6 Andreeva on Court Philippe-Chatrier to continue her fairytale <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/category\/french-open\">Roland Garros<\/a> run.<\/p>\n<p>Boisson twice battled back from a break down and saved a set point before taking a thrilling opening set on a tiebreak.<\/p>\n<p>The Frenchwoman fell 0-3 down in the second set, but won the next six games to seal a remarkable victory over the 18-year-old Russian star.<\/p>\n<p>In her on-court interview, Boisson said:\u00a0\u201cIt was unbelievable, it was amazing to feel supported like this. I have no words to describe that feeling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhatever the situation last year and difficult moments we went through, it\u2019s unbelievable to come from there, but it\u2019s also thanks to my team who supported me. It\u2019s thanks to all of us, really.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, I think I ran a bit too much because I was so tense. It was difficult to hit the ball from the racket. I fought hard. The first set was very intense and at the beginning of the second set, I was really tired.
