Nick Kyrgios has revealed the one key thing he believes all players must do in order to have a chance of beating Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon.<\/p>\n
Alcaraz<\/a> is the two-time reigning Wimbledon champion and is widely considered a clear favourite to triumph again at the grass-court major this year.<\/p>\n The Spaniard overcame seven-time Wimbledon<\/a> winner Novak Djokovic in both the 2023 and 2024 championship matches at the All England Club.<\/p>\n The 22-year-old secured his fifth Grand Slam title at the French Open last month having prevailed in a five-set classic against world No 1 Jannik Sinner.<\/p>\n The world No 2 has a favourable as he cannot face Djokovic, Sinner or world No 4 Jack Draper until the Wimbledon final.<\/p>\n Speaking on talkSPORT, Kyrgios heaped praise on Alcaraz as he compared him to the Big Three of Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.<\/p>\n \u201cAlcaraz is the favourite to win Wimbledon,\u201d said Kyrgios, the 2022 Wimbledon runner-up.<\/p>\n \u201cI saw a stat today, he\u2019s won four tournaments on grass and he\u2019s only lost three matches on the surface ever. So I think he\u2019d be the favourite.<\/p>\n The 4 active men with the longest win streaks: Novak Djokovic peerless, Carlos Alcaraz climbs at Wimbledon<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n \u2018If Goran Ivanisevic can\u2019t help me, probably no one can\u2019 \u2013 Stefanos Tsitsipas on key area of his game<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n \u201cWhat I love about Alcaraz, he\u2019s got a bit of [Rafa] Nadal, [Roger] Federer and Novak [Djokovic], he\u2019s all blended into one.<\/p>\n \u201cHe entertains the crowd, he\u2019s got the physicality, he\u2019s got the smile, he enjoys it. So I think Alcaraz would be the favourite.\u201d<\/p>\n The Aussie identified serving well against Alcaraz on grass as \u201cessential\u201d and assessed that Djokovic failing to do this was the reason he was outclassed in the 2024 final.<\/p>\n \u201cHe (Alcaraz) is just so confident on the surface,\u201d Kyrgios continued.\u00a0\u201cIf I was to play him on grass, I would have to have an amazing serving day. I think anyone that beats him has to have a big serve.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s why I think Novak really struggled against him last year in the final because he couldn\u2019t get any free points.<\/p>\n \u201cServing is essential against Alcaraz, but sometimes he has too many options. I like to say he\u2019s almost too talented and he\u2019s almost too good.<\/p>\n \u201cEarly on, in the first set or second set, he can drop early sets against other players. So locking in early against him would be essential too.<\/p>\n \u201cBut this guy\u2019s a generational talent and I think when it\u2019s all said and done he\u2019s probably gonna have double-digit grand slams at least.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s only really so much you can do.
