No, because that plateau is so hard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut these two guys right now, it\u2019s like when you watch the NBA and you say nobody could be better than Michael Jordan. The tennis level right now is higher than I\u2019ve ever seen.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>More Tennis News<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-news\/alexander-zverev-devious-way-describe-carlos-alcaraz\">Alexander Zverev finds a devious way to describe Carlos Alcaraz and warns he wants to \u2018spoil his party\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-news\/jannik-sinner-carlos-alcaraz-saving-mens-tennis-pat-cash\">Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz compared to Federer-Djokovic rivalry by former Wimbledon champion<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Those claims were quickly dismissed by many high-profile tennis observers, but Hurkacz has told Tennis365 that McEnroe comments are not far off the mark.<\/p>\n<p>The Polish star played plenty of matches against the \u2018Big 4\u2019 from the last era, with Federer, Nadal and Djokovic joined by Andy Murray as the dominant forces in the men\u2019s game for well over a decade.<\/p>\n<p>Hurkacz has also enjoyed battles with Sinner and Alcaraz in recent years and suggests the levels in the game now have lifted to a point that is seeing the new top two in men\u2019s tennis raising standards.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s difficult to say who wins when they are all playing their best tennis,\u201d Hurkacz told Tennis365 at an Adidas event in London.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like the level is growing every single year, and obviously, we can say the level is better than it was ten years ago, but that is not to say Roger, Rafa, Novak and Andy could not get to where we are now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey also improved every year and raised the bar, so if they were playing now, they would still be improving.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we can say is Jannik and Carlos are playing at an incredible level now and it is up to the rest of us to work hard to keep up with them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why I wake up every morning and work so hard to try and reach those levels. There is no secret about that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou will always have difficult moments in your life, but I am not even close to reaching my full potential.
